Why Alpha exists.

Alpha began with a trader’s problem: the chart, the ladder, the risk rules and the journal each kept their own version of the truth, and a bad afternoon slipped through the gaps.

Ori, Alpha's pearl-white companion with two dark eyes, on a dark desk under soft monitor light.

A founder-led project.

Alpha is a founder-led project, built as one native desktop application. It has its own trading authority, a full order-flow workstation and an Agent with explicit limits, and its first broker route is in progress.

It is not released, and there is no company history, customer base or funding to point to yet. What there is: a working application, and a short list of things it will not do, such as let anything overrule the trader’s own rules.

The website is operated by Alpha Trading Platforms. “Alpha” is the product’s working name.

What we hold to.

Rules hold everywhere
A limit you set must apply to every order, whoever or whatever places it.
Say what is real
Simulated, modelled, imported and live data are labelled as such. Unknown is never shown as zero.
Assist, never overrule
An Agent should make a trader faster and better informed, and never take a decision that is the trader’s.
Say what is not done
Every capability is marked as in the app, in progress or planned, and the limits are written down.

If this is how you think about trading software, we would like to hear from you.
