Guard · Risk plan
Keep risk at the decision.
Your limits live in the same core that sends the order. They are checked before anything leaves, for every source of an order, every time.
In the app
Set a limit. Choose what happens.
A daily loss limit is only as good as its consequence. Alpha lets you choose one per boundary, and the core enforces it, including an irreversible lock for the days you know you need one. Below, a simulated day plays against each consequence in turn; change the limit or the consequence to try your own.
Session open.
A simulated day on a simulated account. In Alpha the same rule is enforced by the core for every order: clicks, hotkeys, strategies and the Agent.
Orders, and programs of orders.
Every program is previewed order by order by the authority before you commit. If it would break a rule, the preview says which.
Order types
- Market
- Limit
- Stop
- Stop-limit
- Trailing
- MIT
Sized by contracts or by dollar risk. Day, GTC, IOC and FOK.

- Scaled
- Iceberg
- TWAP
- VWAP
- Percent of volume
- OTO
- Basket
TWAP limit slices cancel the remainder by default, or keep resting if you choose.
Exits that move themselves.
Attach an exit plan to the entry: once the trade is eight ticks in profit the stop moves to breakeven, then trails eight ticks behind the high until the target fills. The core moves it; you do not have to watch.
Closed at target · +$120.00
Exits planned before the entry.
An exit plan holds up to four targets, a stop, breakeven, a trailing rule and a time exit. The core places it when the entry fills and manages it on every tick. Stops only ever tighten.
The ticket also says whether your route works an order natively or Alpha manages it: useful to know before the market moves.

Accounts, locks and the kill switch.
Each account shows its balances, the room left in each limit, whether it can trade and why. Locks show their end time and who can release them. The kill switch locks the account and cancels entries, keeping protective stops and targets in place.

What is built.
- One trading authorityIn the app
Orders, risk, accounts and settings validation live in one in-process core. The interface asks and shows; it never decides.
- Order ticketIn the app
Market, limit, stop, stop-limit, trailing and MIT orders; sizing by contracts or dollar risk; exit plans with up to four targets, breakeven, trailing and a time exit.
Orders run on the simulated exchange until live broker connections are available.
- Multiple Order EntryIn the app
Scaled, iceberg, TWAP, VWAP, percent-of-volume, OTO and basket programs, previewed order by order by the authority.
- Orders panel and inspectorIn the app
Working and all orders, OCO link and unlink, each order’s state events, and an inspector for an order family, fill or position.
- Personal risk planIn the app
Daily loss and profit boundaries, a trailing limit and a losing-streak stop, each with its consequence: notify, refuse new risk, flatten, or flatten and lock for the session.
- Kill switchIn the app
Locks the account and cancels entries, keeping protective stops and targets.
- Copy tradingIn the app
Simple and advanced copy groups with sizing, rounding, symbol maps and an outcome log; a follower’s risk refusal names its rule.
- Hash-chained audit logIn the app
Every event in a hash-chained log you can verify from the app.
Questions
Do these rules replace my prop firm’s rules?
No. They are your own rules, enforced by Alpha before an order leaves. A firm’s rules are enforced by the firm. Alpha lets you set yours tighter so you meet theirs with room to spare.
What happens to my stops if I hit the kill switch?
Entries are cancelled and the account is locked, but protective stops and targets stay working, so an open position is not left unprotected.
Can I undo a lock?
A refusal can be released by you. Flatten and lock cannot be undone until the session ends: that is the point of choosing it.
If you have a rule you keep breaking, tell us. It is exactly what this is for.
